BIOGRAPHY

I started Dj'ing in 1993. Picking up the Trax, Judgementday, Rez & Fantazia cassettes i soon became passionate about the Rave scene and started attending the M8 events at the Bishops in Elgin, Judgement Day & Fusion in My home town which attracted some big names. I soon after saved enough to buy my own gear, a pair of belt drives and a two channel mixer which done the job. I soon picked up some tricks as i would spend hours a day on the decks and every penny i made would be spent on vinyl. I started buying hard stuff ie, Dutch labels, Babyboom, Force, Pengu, Shoop, Evolution, Terror Trax, Bass Generator Records, Twisted Vinyl & Jolly Rodger, but i had i wide range of tastes like the Clubscene, m8, Tom Wilsons copilations, Ultimate Buzz, Ttf , Qfx, Dream Frequency, Rythmic State, Ultra Sonic also early Hascienda & Cream classics. I'm a big fan of Moby's early rare tunes also the Shamen, Underworld, Prodigy, Orbital, Shades of Rythm, Klf, Utah Saints, Cappela etc, the list goes on and on. Early inspirations we're Dj's, Tom Wilson, Bassy Generator, Technotrance, Lenny Dee, Mikey B and Carl Cox.

Myself and my mate Dj Scottie B(Altered Ego) organised a few events in the mid 90's which went well. In 1996 i sold up my gear and purchased a pair of Technics 1210's and upgraded my mixer. I got a bit of a taste for Hard Dance/Trance ie, M-zone, Mark eg & Billy Bunter, this then went onto progressive Trance/House.

In 2008 i upgraded my studio with a Pioneer CDJ1000mk3 & DJM800 setup with KRK studio monitors and still use the vinyl. My setup is going really well and i have so many options and learning new tricks all the time. I have a music production package which i aim to get underway soon and hopefully create a few tracks. At the moment i am playing Electro,House,Hard House,Tech House,Techno, Funk,Oldschool Dance and some slightly harder beats. I never tend to stick to one genre of music. At the moment i mix House then i'll go back to my roots and mix oldschool. I think its good to have an open mind in the dance scene and have different tastes as all music changes in time. I will never be a genre obsessive as i enjoy so much different styles. Since the start of 2008 i've done regular gigs with Outbreak Promotions at the Tunnels Aberdeen and Judgement day Perth playing early to mid 90's oldschool sets.

Outbreak have some more events in the pipeline so keep an eye out for upcoming events and new mixes which you can play or download from the 'mixes' section to the left.

Hope you enjoy! Please sign into my guestbook.
